We spent a school year discovering the diversity of ourselves and community which included self reflections, community mapping, writing about and painting our colors.

- Katie DelaVaughn has been working as a photographic artist and educator since 1999. Her photographs compassionately portray the power, beauty, complexity and depth of the human condition and the worlds around and within us. Linking photography with education, Katie works as a teaching artist and created Pedagogy of Photography (POP), a multicultural initiative designed to increase participants’ literacy skills while promoting student voice and agency through the mediums of photography and poetry. Katie is now based in Northern California and is available for assignments worldwide.
